Sathabhishekam is the assign of pooja and rituals that are done for the couple when they enter in to 81st year. It is generally order by the couple’s children or in laws or relatives. In Hindu tradition Sathabhishekam is considered as the most important pooja.
On this special event friends and families get together in temple or at home and perform Sathabhishekam event as per the rituals, pooja follow with the 9 homas including Ganapathy, Lakshmi, Amrutha, Mrithyunjeyar, Ayush, Danvantri. Kalasa abhishekam will be done after the couples exchange the garlands. At the end Sathabhishekam ceremony is finished the couple is considered as to be the Lord Shiva and Parvathi so the family members and friends take the blessings of the couple.
When the person enters into his 81st year Sathabhishekam event is done by the family members and they celebrate by combining together the Ayul Shanti Homam, Kalasa Abhishekam followed by the exchange of garlands for the couple to gain the blessings by the god.
