Seemantham Pooja also called Baby Shower Ceremony. The Word “Seemantham” refers to parting the hair just above the eyebrows where the Goddess of wealth, Sri Mahalakshmi repose. Baby Shower Ceremony shows the method of applying Kumkum to the parting in order to satisfy Goddess lakshmi such that when a women delivers a baby, She is believe the symbol of Goddess Lakshmi herself.
