Pooja Description
As per the Hindu Calendar, Kartika Masam is the sacred month among all the lunar months. Most of the devotees take oath to take holy dip in the ganga river during the Kartika Masam. The Hindu ritual of holy dip during Kartika Masam starts on the day of Sharad Purnima and ends with the Kartik Purnima. This festival starts with the Tithi of Prabodhini Ekadashi . Ekadashi is the 11th day and Karthika Pournami is the 15th day of Kartika Masam during Shukla Paksha.

Pooja Procedure
On Kartik Purnima every devotee takes the ritual bath at pilgrimage places as per the Hindu rituals. It is referred as “Kartika Snan”. Devotees worship Lord Maha Deva and Vishnu with the complete devotion, by offering flowers, incense sticks, lamps, coconut, sweets. Most of them will be fasting all over the day and few of them will be fasting all over Kartika Masam.
